We are seeking an organised and attentive Senior HR Generalist to join a rapidly growing, tech-leading company in their Barcelona office.  

In this role, you will be the main point of contact for all matters related to managing people and serving as a liaison between the senior management team and the company. You will be responsible for implementing and reporting on the HR policy as directed by the management team.

Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure compliance with HR policies and guidelines throughout the company, including those related to office attendance, holidays, and interpersonal conduct. 
  • Implementation of new hires onboarding and employee recognition programs. 
  • Administration and execution of HR programs including compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary actions, performance management, productivity, recognition, safety, and training. 
  • Knowledge of current trends, industry standards, legal changes, and new technology in the fields of HR, talent management, and employment law. 
  • Collaboration with legal team to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations and implement recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance. 
  • Overseeing the onboarding and offboarding of employees. 
  • Organisation and promotion of team activities and events, building team culture. 
  • Accountability for retention and development of the team, as well as hiring processes including collaboration with head-hunters and external agencies. 
  • Oversee company-wide performance evaluations and manage performance reporting 
  • Facilitate alignment among departments regarding hiring goals, procedures, and workflow 
  • Act as the primary point of contact for salary, pay and benefit related matters. 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years 'experience as a HR Generalist/Administrator or a similar role within a company with more than 50 employees. 
  • Exceptional communication skills 
  • Fluency in English (CERF C2 or native speaker), fluency in Spanish will be an advantage. 
  • Strong skills in interpersonal communication, negotiation, and resolving conflicts. 
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse information and find effective solutions to issues. 
  • Capability to prioritize tasks and assigning them to appropriate parties when necessary. 
  • Skilled in using technology and proficient in creating and working with spreadsheets. 
  • Working experience using Kanban boards and task scheduling software. 

Additionally, understanding of employment-related laws and regulations in Spain, as well as experience with payroll concepts and managing benefits programs will be of significant advantage.
